TROUT BITE
The trout were biting on chartreuse PowerBait this past weekend. The hot spots were in Siesta Cove, off the T-dock, and the Hermit Cove buoy line. Fishermen were able to catch trout close to the surface because of an aerator mixing the lake water and equalizing the water temperature. The water temperature within 10 feet of the surface is 69 degrees (measured on Sunday morning). The aerator will continue to run this week meaning the trout bite will be good on the surface.

FISHING FOR BASS
Bass were reported being caught in many coves around the lake; Shadow Cove, Cloister Cove, and Sentry Cove. The bass bite was best with night crawlers. Share your bass catches with us! Send a photo and description to kira.haley@lakejennings.org

CATFISH & PANFISH
11,000 lbs. of Catfish are scheduled to be stocked over the summer months (see schedule on our website). Our Catfish Opener will be Friday, May 27th. Read about the details here.

CATCHES OF THE WEEK
Ethan Carter of Lakeside caught 2 bass when he was fishing with his dad on Sunday morning. Nice catch Ethan! Colin Tangles reeled in a Lightning trout from the T-dock on Sunday morning. He was using chartreuse garlic PowerBait when this trout hit his line.
