The trout plant scheduled for the week of Feb. 11th to the 17th was cancelled due to supply issues at the hatchery. The water has been slow to clear, and the trout bite has been sluggish as a result. In murky conditions having some scent on your bait can make all the difference.

Catfish which are less reliant on sight are unhampered by murky conditions. Lake Wohlford cats prefer cut mackerel, shrimp, or chicken liver.

Small to medium sized bass being caught around structure. They respond well to swimbaits, crawdads, and dark colored plastics.

Crappie are being caught near the Crappie Float fairly deep. Crappie are most often caught on mini-jigs or live golden shiners.
