We had some bad news this week from our catfish supplier. They had failed to deliver the last 2 weeks with various excuses and then said that they had a fish kill and could not deliver the catfish that they had promised. So we are out of luck and catfish. Predictably, the cat bite has slowed down again from last week. The catches are now coming from deeper water. There is a slightly improved bass bite using 10" worms in the 20' to 25' range. The lake has dropped about 8 ft. and that has forced the crawdads and the small baitfish to move downhill. The increased forage may help pull those suspended bass,out in the middle, closer to shore. Best Cat Bait: Chicken livers, shrimp, hot dogs or nightcrawlers. Use scent liberally.
