TROUT BITE
The lake’s temperature is around 61 degrees in the morning and 63 degrees in the afternoon as told by some fishermen. Trout may move farther from the shoreline as the temperatures rises over the week.
Rainbow PowerBait and various PowerBait worms were the best bait this weekend. Hermit Cove shore- line was the place to be!
FISHING FOR BASS
Bass are getting ready to spawn. Males and females are being reeled in by the boat dock (and released). Anglers have also caught large- mouth bass from the campground shoreline during the week. Best bait? No secrets have been told.
Typically, a Texas rigged Green Pumpkin sinking minnow or roboworm will work.
CATFISH AND PANFISH
Bluegill and Redear can be found in Half Moon Cove no more than 20 ft. from the shoreline.

Evan Donley of La Mesa caught his limit of bass on Friday near the boat dock! The 5 bass totaled
49 lbs. and were released back in to the lake after a few candid shots! This beautiful Sierra Bow was reeled in by Matt this past week- end.
