Final Count: The San Diego's final count for his three quarter day is 13 bluefin tuna(65-135lbs) and one yellowfin tuna. Captain Ryan said it was a very humbling day with reference to the amount of fish seen and lost, so make sure to come prepared to do battle with big fish.
UPDATE: 1:10pm - The San Diego has called in with 7 Bluefin Tuna on the boat so far. Five of the fish are between 75-80lbs, one is 123lbs and while talking with captain Ryan, they gaffed another fish at 135lbs after fighting it for over 90 minutes. They have had a lot of casualties today and one fish was lost that was estimated to be over 200lbs.
The San Diego will be fishing OFFSHORE through FRIDAY 6/17. These trips are limited to 45 people and reservations are required! Recommended tackle for these trips is a MINIMUM of 50# monofilament! Live bait and poppers have been working well.

The San Diego has finished their three quarter day trip on Thursday with 9 Bluefin Tuna. Seven of the bluefin are between 65-75lbs with two big ones on the boat weighing in at 101lbs and 132lbs. The San Diego will be fishing OFFSHORE through FRIDAY 6/17. These trips are limited to 45 people and reservations are required! Recommended tackle for these bluefin is a MINIMUM of 50# monofilament!
