Lake Jennings Weekly Catch and Release
February 4, 2008

Hello from Lake Jennings! There was a good trout and bass bite on Friday.
Saturday it started to shut down and Sunday nothing happened. The trout
were eating crawlers and the bass wanted crawdad imitations or the real
thing.

Best Trout Spots: Eagle Point and Cactus Patch.

Best Trout Lures/Bait: Power Bait and Gulp on a 4' leader.

Best Catfish Spots: Hermit Cove.

Best Catfish Bait: Bring mackerel or mackerel.

Best Bass Spots: Shadow Cove and in 25 ft. of water off the points. Fish slow.

Best Bass Lures/Bait: Ikas and Gitzits. Crawdads if you can find them. Crawfish if you can't.

Notables: No fish over 3 lbs. or limits under 30 minutes reported.

Prognosis: Mt. Lassen will bring us another 1,200 lbs of trout on Friday, February 8th. The warmer
weather forecast for the end of the week may kick off the pre-spawn bite that we have been waiting
for.

Water Temperature: 58 degrees.

Current Schedule: We will be open this Friday, Saturday and Sunday from 6:00 a.m. ??? 6:00 p.m.

Offer Extended! Discounted Boat Rental: We have created a twilight special for our motorboats. After
3:00PM motorboats can be rented for $20.00. That gives you over 2 1???4 hours of primetime fishing.

Lake Jennings Fishing University will hold a fishing class this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The classes
