Captain Steve Gawitt aboard the Pride has called in with 22 yellowfin tuna in the 75-100lb range and he has 6 fish hanging.

The Tribute has called in with 3 bluefin tuna and one yellowfin tuna in the 75-90lb range and has two fish hanging. Captain Mike Pritchard said “ I’ve lost 15 fish today due to the size of the fish and the lack of proper gear.”

Captain Cameron aboard  the San Diego has 22 yellowfin tuna(15-18lbs) and is seeing tonnage of fish around the boat.

Overnight trips would like you to come equipped with a 30lb and also a 40-60lb outfit with the same of a fluorocarbon leader and 1/0 to 5/0 hooks in a J style or a 3/0 hook in a circle hook. If you have a two speed reel, bring it with you and don't forget the four ounce torpedo sinkers.

Three quarter day trips would like 20-25lb and a 40-50lb rig with fluorocarbon leader and #4 and 1/0 hooks.

The Tribute is returning from a two day trip with 13 bluefin tuna, 14 yellowfin tuna and 1 dorado. The tuna fish on the Tribute are 60-90lbs.
