CATFISH
The coves continue to produce limits and nice sized catfish— Cloister Cove and Half Moon Cove are the most popular right now. Cut mackerel and chicken liver are the baits of choice.
2,000 lbs. of catfish will be stocked this week! This week’s stocking brings the season total to 11,000 lbs. of catfish!
Labor Day weekend marks the end of night fishing season. There will be night fishing on Friday, Saturday, and Sunday night (6 a.m.—midnight)!
Whether you are a beginner or want to learn a new rig technique, join one of our Rangers for Fishing University held every Saturday morning at 10 a.m. in the Bait shop.
PANFISH
Bluegill are biting on night crawlers along the tree line in Cloister Cove and Siesta Cove. The water level has dropped, pushing fish into different structure. Target 10-20 feet of water.
