TROUT
Trout moved into deeper waters this week as they acclimated to the lake. Anglers were catching trout by boat or casting from Sentry Point. Depths of 50’ or more were prime with 2-4 lb. test line. Night crawlers and atomic teasers were doing the trick.
One can expect this week’s trout stocking of 1,500 lbs. of trout to be in shallow waters like Siesta Cove and Hermit Cove for the weekend. Another 1,700 lbs. will be stocked next week in anticipation of Kids Day on Feb. 11th. Read about the details in the “Announcements” section
BASS
Anglers are catching bass with drop shot or inflated night crawlers in Half Moon Cove.
PANFISH
Redear Sunfish are being caught using night crawlers in Hermit Cove and along Cloister Cove shoreline.
CATCH OF THE WEEK
Scottie Nguyen and his friend reeled in trout on Sunday afternoon. They were fishing by boat and caught them at 60 ft. depth.
