The bass bite slowed just a bit, but is still very good overall. Fly-lined plastics fished on the bank has been producing numbers fish in the 'I to 2Ib range. Look for the bigger fish off of secondary points in 20' to 30' of water. The bluegill bite has slowed, the last known hot spot was just to the right of the rental dock, with nightcrawlers being the bait of choice. There were a few red ear reported, most of these were inciddental while fishing for gills. Catfish went unreported last week.

The bass here are in all stages of the spawn here, making for some excellent angling opportunities. The largemouth are taking a wide variety of baits, both finesse, and reaction, Most fish have been in the lib to 3Ib range, with a few 5 to 6lber's thrown in for good measure. Bass fishing was excellent last week, with some anglers reporting as many as 20 fish caught, and released in only the A.M. hours! The majority are in the 1.5 to 2Ib class, the rest averaging 3 to 5lbs. Fly-lined plastics, jigs, jerk baits, glide baits, were just a few of the baits that produced.
