Bass and catfish are still biting very well this week. Jesus Garcia caught this 4.5lb. bass out of Lake 5. He caught it on a 10 inch Powerworm. Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday during the month of May, fishing permits will be half price. Parking passes will also be discounted. These will cost $1.00 if you are paying with cash and $2.00 if you are paying with a debit or credit card. extra pole stamps will remain their normal price. If you have pictures of your catch here at the Lakes, please feel free to email them to me at nlobaugh@padre.org with your name, lake you caught the fish on, and the bait you used.
Lake Lowdown
Avg. Water Temp: 71.6°F Water Clarity: 6 ft. Bass are still biting very well on soft plastics and the occasional lure. Catfish are still biting on Shrimp and mackerel. Dip baits have also produced a good number of fish.
