The bass bite was somewhat inconsistent last week, probably due to the bit of low pressure that came through Saturday and Sunday. Mid-week had the largemouth biting top waters, and reaction baits in the morning, with drop shot, and senkos in the afternoon. Bluegill have been a bit smaller on average, but they've been willing biters If you can locate a school. Mealworms, redworms and nightcrawlers have been the top offerings for the panfish.

San Vicente ReservoirBass fishing has been fair to good this past week, with a bit of a top water bite early, and Texas rigs, and drop shot plastics getting them through the midday hours. Main lake points have been productive. The father/son team of Greg, and Lashawn Manuel of El Cajon capitalized on the ongoing Bluegill bite, and boated 22 gill's to 2.5Ibs. this past Saturday on nightcrawlers.
