Catching the Spotlight
The catfish are still being caught daily here at the Park and the season is far from over. We have 9 more stocks left for a total of 11,500 lbs. We have already stocked 14,000 lbs. spread out between most of the Lakes. Join us this Thursday night for our next night fishing event.
July is National Parks and Recreation Month. This week’s special is $1 Jr. fishing permits on Tuesday the 11th and $1 spray ground wristbands on Wednesday the 12th. Every Monday will be $1 gate admission.
Lake Lowdown
Avg. Water Temp: 79.6°F
Water Clarity: 6 ft.
Catfish continue to bite well on shrimp and mackerel. Bass are biting well on top water baits and soft plastics. I’ve been seeing a lot of bass within a few feet of the shore.
