Despite the cold weather, and lower water temps the bass population has been active. Most of the largemouth are males in the 1.5 range, and up on the bank providing anglers with some excellent opportunities. Fly-lined plastics, creature baits and drop shotted robo worms all worked well last week. Catfish were spotted in several areas of the lake although no one reported any catches to the marina. Panfish also went unreported, although with a few days of consistent warm weather should have them ready to go.
