Catching the Spotlight
Another great week of fishing. Charlie (top left) caught this 9.3 pound largemouth out of Lake 5 on a swimjig. Michael (top right) caught this trout out of Lake 4 on Powerbait. This 8.23 pound largemouth (bottom left) was caught out of Lake 2 on a swimbait. Allison (bottom right) caught this trout out of Lake 3 on Powerbait. Although there are no more scheduled trout stocks there are still plenty of trout in the lakes, so be sure to come try your luck. This brings us to the highly anticipated catfish season! Opening weekend will take place on April 7th and 8th. 2,000 pounds of catfish will be stocked opening weekend, so bring the whole family out!
Lake lowdown
Avg. Water Temp: 69.7°F
Water Clarity: 3 ft.
There have been many reports of trout being caught on Powerbait this week. The popular color of choice this week was chartreuse. The water temperature has risen which has brought the bass closer to the shoreline. There have been many reports of bass on swimbaits and soft plastics.
