Anglers are reeling in sizable cats! One angler caught himself a hefty 18 lb. 11 oz. catfish in Shadow Cove this past weekend on mackerel. The cats are also enjoying chicken livers and shrimp too. The lake is open Fridays and Saturdays 6:00 a.m. to midnight. Don't forget to bring your full size lanterns if you're coming for night fishing, they are required after 8:00 p.m.
There were some nice sunfish biting over in Cloister Cove on night crawlers and mealworms.
Hermit Cove along the shoreline and the campground shoreline are always good places to find those bass. Try using black/blue flake Senko!
GOOD NEWS! The lake will be open the entire month of July for boating, fishing, hiking, watching wildlife and picnicking. Hours of Operation: Sunday-Thursday 6:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. and 6:00 a.m. to midnight on Fridays & Saturdays. Bring the kids out and rent a paddle boat or rowboat.
Free boat launches every Tuesday in July. Bring your family and friends for a wonderful time on the lake.
The Catfish Re-opener is set for July 20-22. Additional stocking will be happening the weeks of July 9th & 16th. That's another 2,000 lbs. in addition to the 1,000 lbs. we receive next week!
