The bass bite improved this past week, with most anglers reporting double digit numbers for their efforts. Drop Shotting 4" worms was the hot tickets, as well as Texas rigs, and Carolina rigs. Most of the fish have been in 1 th 1.5 lb range, and have been coming out of 20' to 30' water. There's still some hand size Bluegill coming out of the Barona, and Kimball Arms on split shotted red worms. Catfish went unreported last week.

San Vicente ReservoirThe largies are still scattered between 5', and 40' all over the lake. Drop shotting 4" worms has been productive as well as jerkbaits, and small swimbaits tossed up on the bank. There are still some wolf packs chasing bait up on top in the morning hours off of main lake points. Some of the lakes larger bluegill stirred a bit this past weekend, although most were incidental catches. Catfish went unreported. ...... Read More
