Hello from Lake Jennings! Fishing this weekend has been the cat's meow. Channels and blues have moved to deeper water and regained their appetites.
Lots of quality cats over 4 lbs. Topwater bass action showed a modicum of improvement but it is early and late.
Best Trout Spots: None
Best Trout Lures/Bait: None
Best Catfish Spots: Both the dam and the Hermit Cove buoy lines. Best Catfish Bait: Shrimp or mackerel. Use scent liberally.
Best Bass Spots: Dawn and dusk tight on the bank. Daylight finds them in 20 to 30 ft. off the points
chasing shad. Best Bass Lures/Bait: 4" Pink worms dropshotted or 16" BIG worms Texas rigged, # 13 Rapalas, Pop R's.
Notables: Fri., Victor Gonzales, San Diego, 24-8 blue cat, mackerel, Hermit Cove. Sat., Lonnie

buoyline. Sat., Dan Heiser, El Cajon, on the same sweet spot as last week's 14-8 blue nailed a pair of 8-0 channels, mackerel, buoy line.
Prognosis: We return to our 1???2 hr. before sunrise to 1???2 hr. after sunset schedule Open on Friday,
Saturday and Sunday. This week it is 6 AM until 7:45 PM.

Water Temperature: 80-82 degrees.
Current Schedule: We will be open Friday, Saturday and
Sunday from 6:00 a.m. ??? 7:45 p.m.
FREE Fishing Classes Open to the Public!
Lake Jennings Fishing University will hold a fishing class this Sunday at 1:00 p.m. The classes
concentrate on what is working best. This week's class will talk about fishing cats. Most importantly, the classes are FREE! Ranger Hugh will be the professor.

Lake JenningsHello from Lake Jennings! There was a very good cat bite during our night fishing if you were fishing from a boat. Shore anglers did not fair as well. Bass action improved. Dropshotting plastics off the fishing float. The top water action isn't. Best bet for bass is drifting shiners deep. Wax worms are catching lots of small red ears for the kids in the backs of the coves. Best Trout Spots: None Best Trout Lures/Bait: None Best Catfish Spots: Both the dam and the Hermit Cove......
