The Chubasco2 is currently out on a  Vamos A Pescar kids trip  in association with the Pfleger Institute of Environmental Research. This trip is run every Sunday afternoon and teaches the kids about the art of fishing and marine biology. Today is the first trip and so far has been a huge success.  Chugey Sepulveda and Scott Aalbers(Both marine biology scientist and hold their USCG Captains License) are teaching marine biology on board and Captains Ernie Prieto and Anthony “Tiny” Maglietto have the fishing part of it. The two organizations combine to make these trips a huge success. “I sure wish I had this type of learning experience when I was a young man,” said Mark Larson manager of the Oceanside Sea Center.
