There are bass and catfish being caught, bass both along the shoreline and off boats and catfish along the logboom.

The next big fishing event at Lake Poway will be Catfish season and night fishing! Night Fishing will start July 5th and continue Friday and Saturday nights through August 31st. During night fishing the park will be open until 11:30 PM and boats can stay out until 11:00 PM. During night fishing half day boats start at 4:00 PM.
