Bass fishing was fair last week, the morning bite being the best. Look for schooling fish on the bank in toll road, aqueduct, and Barona arms of the lake. Flukes, poppers, frogs and small swimbaits all produced last week. Most of the schoolies have been in the 2lb. and 3lb. range. Bluegill still coming in cuts, and coves, although they have been only about a quarter pound average. Red worms, and mealworms have been working for the panfish. Catfish went unreported to the concession.

Bass fishing was a bit tougher than last week, but limits can still be obtained with some work. A lot of the fish are in the 20’ to 30’ range but these have been hard to catch. There are still some largemouth on the bank that are willing to bite rip baits, jigs, senkos and small swimbaits. Bass Fishing Was Steady

Bass fishing was steady last week, although the worm bite seems to have slowed some, but reaction baits got bit well. Jerk baits, and small swimbaits reportedly took fish in the 1 to 2 pound range, bigger fish came on top waters, and medium sized boot and paddle tails.
