The fishing at Murray has turned ON! Thanks to the most recent cold front that came in yesterday, the fish are out and about. Water temperature has finally dropped to a suitable temperature for the fish and they are ready to eat! The bass have recently jumped into a crawdad bite as the native crawfish have just had a hatch in the past week. Using creature baits on a Texas rig, or jig fishing has been producing some quality bass. While drop-shot and crankbaits have still been very productive, a spoon fishing bite has turned on as well. Bluegill numbers are rising after their most recent spawn as well, and we are seeing more and more being caught daily. Most bluegill have been caught on either a drop shot rig with crickets or mealworms. Or with a bobber with a 2-3 foot leader fly lined with bait. Don’t miss out on the great fishing coming up in the next few weeks. Good luck!
