Closed to boating and fishing Mondays and Tuesdays.

Trout Season is almost here! See the flyer below for the complete Stocking schedule. The first stock will be December 4th and the lake will be closed that day. Opening day is December 5th, 2019.

When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information. Remember concessions closes at 6:00 PM so come early enough to buy your permit or rent a boat.

BIGGEST TROUT PRIZE! This year Lake Poway will be offering a prize for the biggest trout caught during the first week of the season. The biggest trout caught between December 5th and December 8th will win a prize. Trout must be weighed and recorded at the Boat Dock in order to be eligible.

This year is the 25th Annual Youth Fishing Derby!

Fishing, prizes, entertainment, games, bounce houses, a free barbecue lunch and more! Join the City of Poway, February 1, for an exciting day of fun and prizes at the FREE 25th Annual Youth Fishing Derby! Freshly stocked with rainbow trout, the lake will be open only to youths ages 15 and younger from 6:00 AM-12:00 PM. Winners must be present to claim prizes at the awards ceremony, which is scheduled to begin at 1:00 PM.

*Participants must check-in at the registration tables to receive their wristbands before fishing that morning.*
