Trout fishing has been excellent. Jeremy Cominlag of San Diego has big fish honors with his 8.40# trout caught in Willow Cove on a green power-worm. Other notable catches included; Selvin’s 7.10#, Chris Sy’s 6.70#, and Keith Greetis’s 5.40#. Fishing has been best on the east end and in the southern cove opposite the boat dock. Inflated night-crawlers, and power-worm / power-bait combinations, have been what is working.

The bass bite has been extremely sluggish. Largemouth Bass can be found around structure. With the re-introduction of trout to the menu this an excellent time to be throwing swimbaits in hopes of catching a big bass.

Catfish continue to be caught throughout the lake. Lake Wohlford cats prefer cut mackerel or chicken liver.

The new crappie float is the place for catching crappie. Crappie are most often caught on finger jigs or live golden shiners.
