The bass populating has been scattered form 10’ to 60; in the water column, making for tough conditions last week the shallow fish have been reluctant to bite and the deep fish have been taking jigs and drop shotted robo worms. Most of the largemouth have been in the 1lb. to 2lb. range, with an occasional 3lb. to 4 pounder showing. No sign of any panfish or catfish last week.

San Vicente ReservoirNot much changes here last week, the bass population is still scattered from 10’ to 50’. Drop shooting and jigs have been picking off the deeper fish. The fish holding in shallower water have reluctant to bit and for the most part have only been following reaction baits rain in the forecast will hopefully get the largemouth chewing a bit better. The Bass Bite Has Picked Up
San Vicente ReservoirThe bass bite picked up a bit last week, with most anglers reporting dear fishing for the largess, there have been some fish on the bank, but have proven to be tough to catch. Most of the action has been in 40’ to 60’ of water off of main lake points. Jigs, and finesse techniques have been working for the deeper fish.
