Winter Greetings from Lake Cuyamaca: DFG stocked 3,000 lbs of trout from the Fillmore hatchery last week along with 1,300 lbs from Mojave to add to the inventory. These were a mixed size loads with some nice keepers. The bait bite is steady for trout. Some action trolling out of the wind. Use scent as the inflow of water and high winds has visibility very poor.

Prognosis:!! With all the additional trout stocked! Thank You D.F.G. warming weather and calm winds will have the trout action producing limit style action. Use bait with scent close to shore, open bail and let them take it. Trolling just off shore lines (30 to 50 yards) with Rapala's or Panther Martins will provide some great action. Lots of feed from runoff and recently flooded shore line. Water temp 44-48 deg.
