Bass are biting very frequently near the narrows and also along the del diol side of the lake in shallow water with soft plastics and large senko bait on a Texas rig and drop shot set up many 9-10 lbs. bass have been caught towards shallow water. Crappie are being caught in shallow water thought the narrows on mackerel and night crawlers. The creation system has no been turned on so water clarity will be improving throughout the year with little to no algae bloom.

Lake HodgesBass are biting very strongly close to shore. Reaction bait as well as plastics are doing the best with the bass. Some anglers also had luck with live shiners. Bass Are Moving in Closer to Shores
Lake HodgesBass are moving their way up closer to shore getting ready for their pre spawn. Many are being caught in 3-4 get of water off any soft plastic with the preferred color being purple. Creature baits as well as drop shot set ups are doing great as well for the bass. Crappie are biting actively in deeper water 9-10 feet off white jigs and live crappie shiners.
