TEMPORARY LAKE HOURS!
The lake is open Saturdays and Sundays from
6:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
June 22, 2020
- Stocking: The lake was last stocked with 1,500 lbs. of trout from Wright's Rainbows the week of March 9th. Stay tuned for information about upcoming catfish stocking.
- New Dock Installation: Assembly of the new dock begins this week! During the new dock installation boat rentals and launches may be limited at certain times. We will update customers with plenty of advance notice of any boat rental and launching closures. The new dock will be installed and ready for use by the end of July!
- Night Fishing: Who's ready to cast a line in the shadow of night? We will open for night fishing on Friday, July 3rd from 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. Boat rentals will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. For more information, click HERE.
- What's the catch? The T-dock was still producing Bass and Bluegill this weekend. Bluegill were biting on nightcrawlers (try pinching them in half) and meal worms. Anglers were using shiners to catch Bass. Bluegill were being reeled in all over the lake this weekend...Hermit Cove, Half Moon Cove, and Sentry Point. Catfish were biting on mackerel and Mack Baits in Half Moon and Siesta Coves.
- Conditions: The water temperature is 72 degrees. For an up-to-date weather forecast in Lakeside click HERE. Looks to be in the warm all week!
- Boat Rentals are available! All those in a boat must be from a shared household unit to a maximum of 5 people. Boats may be limited due to sanitation requirements. To save time and limit staff contact, please print, sign and bring with you, the boat waiver found HERE.
- Lake COVID Regulations: Only one family unit in the bait shop at a time and everyone must wear a mask both in line and in the bait shop. Hand washing facilities are available at the bathrooms adjoining the bait shop. Please maintain social distancing at all times. Fishing on the campground shoreline is for registered campers only. Please help us stay open by complying with these simple measures to keep our staff and the public safe. Thank you for your cooperation!
- Attention Walkers: Access between Eagle Point and Sentry Point is only available to registered campers to better control occupancy in the campground. There are still no day users or visitors permitted into the campground. No dogs are permitted on the recreation side of the lake.
- Campground is OPEN: The campground is open for reservations! Registered campers can fish from the campground shoreline everyday from 7:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Weekend reservations are filling up quickly...grab your campsite today by reserving online HERE. There is more availability mid-week!
- WE'RE HIRING! Love the lake as much as we do? We're hiring Dockhands to provide excellent customer service to lake visitors and maintain our boat rental fleet. Dockhands work weekends and holidays at the lake. For more information or to apply, please visit Helix Water District's job site.
- We love receiving pictures from our fishermen and guests! If you have a picture you'd like to share, please email them to ranger@lakejennings.org and we may feature them in our next lake newsletter or on social media.
