The Tomahawk out of Fishermans Landing in San Diego, CA checked in with an on the water report.

Hey guys, this is Eric with the Tomahawk. Just got off the phone with the Captain Joe and they are on a 1.5 Day Trip.

They've been seen a lot of schools of big Bluefin this morning close to home. They hooked 7 or 8 but they've only landed 3 due to equipment failures. The Bluefin that they have on deck are between 150 and 200 pounds. So some nice big ones!

Captain Joe reminds all the anglers coming on board the Tomahawk that if you're going to be Bluefin fishing, you need to have 50 to 80 pound gear and no less than 50 pound fluorocarbon for these big fish.They're biting on fly line sardines and the sinker sardine. They also have a few Yellowfin Tuna 25 to 35 pounds.
