Fishing has contained to improve here at Murray with large numbers of fish caught daily. The bass have been seen chasing the Threadfin shad deeper off the points in the morning and have been moving deeper in the afternoon as the water temperature rises. Be sure to cover water! Throw boats that imitate small baitfish such as Keitech swimbaits 2.8” and smaller. The baitfish are small right now and using Underspin rigs, small spoons, spinnerbaits and A-rigs is a good way to “match the hatch”. Bass have also been seen aching the baby bluegill in the backs of coves so make sure to throw a bluegill pattern crank bait, lipless cranks and swim baits. The bluegill bit have been phenomenal! People ahem been leaving with full limits and we have been seeing unusually large bluegill caught on a daily basis. We also received a stock of 1700 pounds of catfish over a week ago.
