Bass bite is very steady and strong with the narrows being the hot spot. Bass are biting on purple worms and larger senkos in green. Crappie is hard to catch right now with the hot weather. Catfish are being caught in large quantities around the dam area and along the Del Dios shoreline. Bluegill is being caught all over the lake with larger numbers being caught on live nightcrawlers around and under the docks and boat ramps.

Lake HodgesBig bass have been caught frequently near the narrows on crank baits as well as large senkos. Crappie are not biting very often with most preferring live bait. Bluegill are biting very actively near the rental dock shore lines as well as the boat ramp area and night crawlers are the favorite bait for them. Bass Action Has Been Good
Lake HodgesBass are biting very actively around the dam area. They are going for crank baits towards deeper water. Bass are also biting around our handicap dock and along the shorelines on plastics. Crappie are not very active but those that are being caught are going for white jigs and also blue and chrome color crank baits.
