Lake Poway Hours: 6:00 AM-6:45 PM. Boats in by 6:15 PM.
Closed to boating and fishing Mondays and Tuesdays.
When renting a boat everyone still must bring a face covering and wear it when required. Show picture ID at dock after renting a boat at concessions. All occupants of a boat must be from the same household.
Catfish are still biting: for boats on the Log Boom and people are catching off the shore by Jump Off Point or Boulder Bay. The best bait is still mackerel, but people also have been successful with chicken livers and night crawlers. The bass bite has started to pick up along the far shoreline.
When you stop by concessions to buy your permit ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information. Nigh fishing is done for this year and fishing on the lake will now stop at sunset.
Fall Camping: The next event here at Lake Poway is our Fall Camping Series....Sleep under the stars! Set up your tent and enjoy the park at your own pace. Hike the numerous trails, drop a line to catch a fish, cruise the lake on a motorboat, or simply relax by your campsite and enjoy all the natural beauty that Lake Poway offers. Fishing permits and boat rentals not included but may be purchased for a nominal fee at Lake Poway concessions. No alcohol is permitted. This is a rain or shine event! $25 per car. (Any additions must register as an additional group) For more information call (858 668-4772) or visit and sign up at poway.org
