Still some bass on the bank here willing to bite early, and late on topwater. Mid morning has them schooled up and chasing silversides in open water. If chasing boils isn’t you things there is a fair drop shot bite throughout the day in 30’ to 40’ of water. Only a handful of bluegill were reported to the concession last week, drop shooting night crawlers in Barona and Kimball arms produced the lions share of the panfish. Catfish were M.I.A last week.

Bass Bite Has Been Good
San Vicente ReservoirThe bass bite has been good both early and late on a wide variety of baits and techniques. Top waters, small swimbaits, wake baits all worked for fish on the bank. A lot of bass schooled up and chasing small silverside in open water. Worming has produced all day long as well. There was some bluegill action in both the Barona and Kimball arms on the lake. San Vicente ReservoirThe bass bite here has been almost as hot as the weather, many anglers reporting 20 to 30 fish days. Top waters are getting but both early and late and good finesse action in the mid morning/ afternoon. Most of the largemouth have been in the 2lb. to 3lb.
