Welcome to Lower Otay Lake. As the season changes from summer to fall we look forward to colder water and the opportunity it will bring us. The bluegill bite has been good and steady. Many are having luck with the bobber attached to a 2 foot leader with no weight. Use a meal worm and let it float down. Some bigger bass have been caught using senkos and fishing near the dam produced a 7 pounder. Fish the shallow water in the mornings with live bait like night crawlers and red worms. Good luck out their anglers.
