FISHING TIPS

Fishing for all species remains slow although some nice sizes of trout and bass were landed last week. The bass bite is still good over most of the Lake. Trout fishing is slow this week. The best bet is trolling or picking a spot along the back shore of the Lake using Night Crawlers. Best shoreline spot continues to be across the Lake in Bucktail Bay near the Restroom Landing. Most consistent lures continue to be Kastmasters and Rapalas. The catfish bite is moderate with the Log Boom being the best area to catch one. The bluegill bite is good by the second tank on the Log Boom. The water level of the Lake is now being raised again.

FISH STOCK

LAST STOCK: Tuesday, April 28 was 175 pounds of specially tagged rainbow trout
NEXT STOCK: Last Stock of the Year

Witch Creek Fire Damage Recovery ??? The erosion control curtain is being removed. As of Sunday, the curtain is only in Hidden Bay and that should be removed next week. The second restroom landing near Half Moon Bay is now open.

We thank you for working with us while the erosion control curtain was in the Lake and for understanding that the erosion control devices were necessary to allow Lake Poway to recover from the effects of the fire damage.
