The next Lake Poway trout stock will be Thursday, March 25th.  The trout bite was slow this off stock week, but anglers were still catching bass and some catfish on the opposite shoreline.  On Saturday, March 20th, Dominic caught a good-sized large mouth bass off the fishing pier using a nightcrawler while fishing with his father Jamie (see photo).  The best baits for trout this season have been mini jigs, spoons, and power bait. The bass and catfish bite has remained steady off the shoreline.  Catfish can be caught with mackerel, shrimp, or nightcrawlers and are usually found by Jump Off Point or further along to Boulder Bay.

Boating Closed - Due to damage sustained during a recent windstorm, the boat dock has remained temporarily closed and boats are not available for rent. Please check back for updated information.

When you stop by concessions to buy your permit keep a 6 ft. distance when in line and adhere to the maximum occupancy for the store.  Ask about the best spots and baits. They have up to the minute information.
