The past week the fish seem to be confused, I think because of the unusual weather they’re not sure if they want to go deep or stay shallow. Some fishermen report seeing fish at 15 feet but not biting whereas some boats are catching bass at 25 feet. Most of the bass being caught are 1 to 1.5 lbs average. The bluegill and crappie have practically disappeared for the winter. Catfish are being caught in the shallow water in San Carlos Arm and off Padre Point. Cut mackerel and red worms are working very well. The water is 66 degrees and dropping so get ready for Trout.
