FISHING TIPS

Biggest Bass of the Year! Bass fishing was excellent this week as there are shad explosions in many areas of the Lake. Those who fished for catfish were rewarded with a great catfish bite at the Log Boom and on the Fishing Pier. The bluegill bite is best in Hidden Bay. The Lake will remain full all summer and the water temperature is at 80o.

Use of Shad as Bait - There has been some confusion relating to the use of shad for bait at Lake Poway. The following is an excerpt from the rules. If you give the appearance of snagging a Staff Member will talk with you.
