Those trout that are left are languishing in the shallows due to the warm water, William Drieling of Oceanside had big fish of the past week with his 8.80# trout caught on an atomic teaser on Senior Shoreline. Mini-jigs, atomic teasers, and kastmasters have been getting the best results.

The first catfish stock of the season is scheduled for this coming week. Lake Wohlford cats like chicken liver, shrimp, or cut mackerel.

Crappie are being caught in small numbers. Crappie bite mini-jigs and live golden shiners. They prefer the cover of shade and typically only come in close early in the morning or late in the day.

Bass are in tight to shore gorging themselves on the plentiful shad. Bass respond well to shad-raps, senko worms, and swim baits.
