  • Stocking: Catfish season opener will be the weekend of May 20-22 where 1,750 pounds from Alpine Fishery will be stocked. The catfish stocking schedule has been released. You can view the schedule HERE.
  • What's the catch?  Catfish were biting off of the campground shoreline this weekend especially during night fishing. Cut mackerel and garlic nightcrawlers were reeling them in. Brush up on fishing for catfish for the upcoming opener in a couple of weeks by reading our quick and easy 'How To' guide. The Bluegill are still biting in the shallow coves around the lake. Siesta Cove seems to be the most active. Meal worms are the ticket! There were reports of bass caught and released around Cloister Cove this weekend. Senkos and shiners were the baits of choice. The trout bite seems to have slowed with the warming weather. You'll need to fish a little deeper if you're looking for trout. Don't forget to send us pics of your catch! You can tag us @lakejennings on social media or email them to ranger@lakejennings.org.
  • LAKE HOURS ARE CHANGING - With the catfish opener comes night fishing! Beginning May 20th, the lake will be open every Friday and Saturday night until midnight. The entrance gate will close at 10:00 p.m. Lanterns required after sunset.
  • Conditions: The aerator has been turned on for the season, so the water column will be more mixed and a consistent temperature. The surface temperature around the boat dock is 69 degrees. The sun is rising around 6:05 a.m. and setting around 7:25 p.m. For a complete weather report in Lakeside, click HERE.
  • In Remembrance...Friday, May 13th would've been Ranger Bud Murray's 34th year of service at Lake Jennings. He loved teaching others how to fish and imparting a healthy respect for nature. To honor and remember his devotion to the lake, we are offering $2 off of fishing permits (youth, adult, senior, & military) on Friday, May 13th. Join us in remembrance of Ranger Bud.
  • Campground: Need a little mid-week R & R? The campground is the perfect place to watch the sunrise and get in some early morning shoreline fishing. Campsites are booking up quickly on the weekend, but we usually have sites available during the week. Book your campsite TODAY.
  • Have you seen our new bike service station at the campground? It has all of the tools you need to keep your bike tuned up for a ride around the campground trails.
