Lake Poway stocked 1,000lbs. of catfish on Friday July 22nd.  They were catching catfish from both shoreline and off the boats and there have been many albino cats pulled out this year.  The best place to go while boating is the Log-Boom while shoreline fishing is best by the fishing pier, Jump Off Point, and North Shore. The best baits for catfish are mackerel, chicken liver or nightcrawlers. An 8lb. bass was also pulled out this week close to the fishing pier.  Night fishing will be every Friday and Saturday night through September 3rd and boats will be allowed out on the lake until 11:00pm and shoreline fishing until 11:30pm.
