The New Lo-An returned from a 2 day trip with 49 Bluefin Tuna for 25 anglers.

Late report: Yesterday's Daily Double PM trip came back with 35 Rockfish, 15 Sand Bass, 5 Calico Bass, 3 Whitefish, and 1 Sheephead for their 11 Anglers.

The PM half day trip on the Daily Double is a for sure go this afternoon and has a very light load. Call us at 619-223-1627 or book online.






Offshore fishing trip:

The 2023 schedules for the El Capitan, New Lo-An, Oceanside 95 and T-Bird are now available online. Bluefin Tuna from 40# to 100# are biting in 1.5 day range. You can book your reservation through the following links:

Recommended tackle for any of these trips would inclued a 30# live bait rod, 50# bait/jig rod and a heavy outfit with 80# or 100# for sinker rigs / knfie jigs.


 

Local trips:

The Daily Double offers ½ day trip departing everyday at 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM. They have been fishing the local kelp beds for bass, Barracuda and Rockfish. Call our office at (619) 223-1627 to book your reservation.

The Mission Belle has full day trips scheduled to fish offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail and Bonito. Recommended tackle would be a bait rod with 25# or 30#, a jig rod with 40# or 50# and a heavy outfit with 80# or 100#. Shimano Flat Falls, Colt Snipers, Daiwa SK jigs, Salas 6Xjr’s or Tady 9’s are all excellent jigs for this trip. Trips depart at 6:00 AM. NO PASSPORT required for this trip. (Schedule)


 

9th Annual Western Outdoor News / San Diego Offshore Jackpot Tournament is scheduled for June 30th. The Oceanside 95 will be one of the boats competing in this year’s event. Ticket price is $350 and includes your $20 jackpot entry fee. Departure date is June 29th at 8:00 PM. No passport required for this trip. If you're planning on taking a trip with us this season, we encourage you to set up an appointment with one of the 3 fish processors working with Point Loma Sportfishing. If you do not have an advance reservation, there is a strong chance the processors will be unable to process your fish when you return back to the dock. The Point Loma returned from their AM 1/2 day with 28 mixed Rockfish and 76 Red Rockfish.  The Daily Double came back from their AM 1/2 day with 157 mixed Rockfish.  They have been fishing both deep some trips (400-600 feet) and shallow some other trips (75-150 feet), so be as prepared as possible for either type of trip! The afternoon trip returned with 63 Rockfish, 12 Sand Bass, 6 Calico Bass with another 20 Calicos released.
