Happy 4th of July from Point Loma Sportfishing

Tuesday morning returns:

The Daily Double came back from their AM 1/2 day with 111 Various Rockfish. 

The New Lo-An returned this morning from a 2 day trip with 69 Bluefin Tuna between 40 and 120lbs, 57 Yellowtail between 12 and 35lbs, and 2 Ling Cod for their 22 Anglers!




UP COMING TRIPS WITH OPENINGS:


The T-Bird departs for a 2 day trip tonight at 5 PM . Ticket price is $590 and includes your Mexican fishing permits. This trip is a WILL RUN FOR SURE!!! (BOOK HERE)


 

Wednesday:

The Mission Belle full day trip is a DEFINITE GO with only 9 passengers booked at this time. This trip will be fishing offshore for tuna and Yellowtail. Departure time is 6:00 AM. Book online or call (619) 223-1627 to reserve your spot


 

Thursday night:

The El Capitan overnight trip is a DEFINITE GO with only 9 passengers booked. This trip includes food and fishing permits for Mexico. Book now



Offshore fishing trip:

The 2023 schedules for the El Capitan, New Lo-An, Oceanside 95 and T-Bird are now available online. Bluefin Tuna from 40# to 100# are biting in 1.5 day range. You can book your reservation through the following links:

Recommended tackle for any of these trips would inclued a 30# live bait rod, 50# bait/jig rod and a heavy outfit with 80# or 100# for sinker rigs / knfie jigs.


 

Local trips:

The Daily Double offers ½ day trip departing everyday at 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM. They have been fishing the local kelp beds for bass, Barracuda and Rockfish. Call our office at (619) 223-1627 to book your reservation.
 

The Mission Belle has full day trips scheduled to fish offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail and Bonito. Recommended tackle would be a bait rod with 25# or 30#, a jig rod with 40# or 50# and a heavy outfit with 80# or 100#. Shimano Flat Falls, Colt Snipers, Daiwa SK jigs, Salas 6Xjr’s or Tady 9’s are all excellent jigs for this trip. Trips depart at 6:00 AM. NO PASSPORT required for this trip. (Schedule)





FISH PROCESSING RESERVATIONS 

If you're planning on taking a trip with us this season, we encourage you to set up an appointment with one of the 3 fish processors working with Point Loma Sportfishing. If you do not have an advance reservation, there is a strong chance the processors will be unable to process your fish when you return back to the dock.
