Sunday morning update:

Both trips on the T-Bird and El Capitan are WILL RUN FOR SURE TRIPS!!! Departing tonight. The El Capitan is on a 1.5 day trip departing at 9 pm. Price is $565 and includes food and mexican permit. (BOOK HERE) The T-Bird departs at 7 pm. Price is $300 and includes the mexican permit. (BOOK HERE)

The T-Bird returned from a 1.5 day trip with  36 Bluefin Tuna (up to 110 lbs),35 various Rockfish, and 1 nice Ling Cod.

The Oceanside 95 finished a 1.5 day trip with 24 Bluefin Tuna and 2 Yellowfin for 24 anglers. The Bluefin are up to 80 lbs.

The New Lo-An called in with LIMITS of Bluefin Tuna for day one of their two day trip.  Check back later for a final count....

The El Capitan called in from the water with first day LIMITS of Bluefin Tuna for 18 anglers.

The Daily Double had EXCELLENT Bass fishing yesterday afternoon with 135 Calico Bass, 16 Sand Bass, 11 Rockfish, 2 Ling Cod, and 4 Sheephead for 31 anglers. This afternoon's pm trip is a WILL RUN FOR SURE!!! (BOOK HERE)

Recommended tackle for any of these trips would include a 30# live bait rod, 50# bait/jig rod and a heavy outfit with 80# or 100# for sinker rigs / knife jigs.

Local trips:

The Daily Double offers ½ day trip departing everyday at 8:30 AM and 3:00 PM. They have been fishing the local kelp beds for bass, Barracuda and Rockfish. Call our office at (619) 223-1627 to book your reservation.
 
The Mission Belle has full day trips scheduled to fish offshore for Bluefin Tuna, Yellowtail and Bonito. Recommended tackle would be a bait rod with 25# or 30#, a jig rod with 40# or 50# and a heavy outfit with 80# or 100#. Shimano Flat Falls, Colt Snipers, Daiwa SK jigs, Salas 6Xjr’s or Tady 9’s are all excellent jigs for this trip. Trips depart at 6:00 AM. NO PASSPORT required for this trip. (Schedule)

If you're planning on taking a trip with us this season, we encourage you to set up an appointment with one of the 3 fish processors working with Point Loma Sportfishing. If you do not have an advance reservation, there is a strong chance the processors will be unable to process your fish when you return back to the dock.
