How's it going everyone! Hopefully everyone is enjoying the holiday season so far! Trout season is in full swing and we've had plenty of action so far! We had Mt. Lassen stock our opener and with that were tagged fish and lightning trout and it has been a wildly fun time! The trout are biting best off of powerbait, mice tails, rooster tails, kastmasters, and other mini jigs! So far we've stocked lakes 2,3,4, and 7. Lake 4 has been stocked twice so far so its definitely going to be the best bet currently.

The bass bite is a little slow currently but there is still some action here and there. Jerkbaits, dropshot worms, and swimbaits are some solid baits to use right now since the water temperature has been dropping. Water has also gotten murkier recently with water visibility around 2-3 ft so keep that in mind.

Lake Lowdown

Average Water Temperature: 60°F

Water Clarity: 2-3 Feet
