The lake is closed for fishing and to the general public on weekdays throughout the fall, as it is every year. We will return to our seven day a week schedule in mid- December at the beginning of trout season.

Catfish can be found throughout the lake but seem to favor either end. Lake Wohlford trout prefer mackerel or chicken liver. Stop by the ranger station for a dough-bait recipe that works well on both catfish and carp.

Small to medium sized bass are being caught. They are hitting swimbaits, and dark colored plastics.

Black Crappie are still being caught in small numbers near Bass Point.
