The trout fishing is improving as the water begins to clear. The upcoming plant should help to liven things up. Some anglers have come back with limits fishing the shallow water on the east end. Powerbait (yellows and greens), salmon eggs, and inflated nightcrawlers are some of the top baits

The Largemouth Bass are getting ready to spawn. They respond well to swimbaits, crawdads, and dark colored plastics.

Crappie move in close to shore in the early morning hours and on overcast days. Crappie are most often caught on mini-jigs or live golden shiners.

Catfish continue to be caught throughout the lake. Lake Wohlford cats prefer mackerel, shrimp, or chicken liver.

The trout fishing is slow with the water murky from the recent rains. Using scented bait improves your chances when the water is clouded. The Largemouth Bass are getting ready to spawn.
