Our full-day fishing trips follow a simple strategy: we start by fishing for cod in the morning at the Nine, then move north to La Jolla or south to Imperial Beach for surface game.

Here's what we've caught so far:

• 14 Vermillion, some weighing over 10 lbs.
• 70 Boccaccio.
• 22 Chilli Peppers.
• 20 assorted Rockfish.

We're also on the lookout for kelps and Tuna offshore. We recently spotted a school of Bluefin Tuna, but haven't managed to hook any yet. Unfortunately, we lost one due to a hook straightening out. We're staying optimistic for more action ahead.
