Stocking: Lake Jennings was freshly stocked with 1,000 pounds of catfish the week of July 29th. Another 1,000 pounds of catfish is planned to be added to the lake next week. The last stocking for this season will take place in October, meaning you can enjoy night fishing every Friday and Saturday night until then.

What’s the Catch? The catfish kept on biting this weekend! Boats were coming back with limits from the buoy lines, Siesta Point, and Eggerts Point. Mackerel and garlic nightcrawlers were doing the trick. Sizeable bass were being reeled in from shore and by boat. The dockhands heard that two 8+ pounders were caught and released this weekend. Sounds like Senkos and crankbaits were the way to go. As always the panfish were biting off of Siesta Point and Half Moon Cove. Meal worms and pieces of nightcrawlers are sure to get a bite.

Conditions: The current water temperature at the surface is around 80 degrees. The sun is rising at 6:12 a.m. and setting at 7:32 p.m. The lake refill has begun! The district is refilling at approximately 25 million gallons a day. We expect the fill to last about a month. The t-dock will remain closed until the water level rises more and it can be assessed for safety.
