Lake Morena County Park is located at 2550 Lake Morena Drive, Campo, CA 91906.

The lake is open from 6:00 am to 7:00 pm. All boats need to be off the lake by
 6:30pm.
• The current surface water temperature is approx. 77°F.
• Live bait-fish and crayfish are prohibited.
• CALIFORNIA STATE FISHING LICENSE IS REQUIRED

 Free Fishing Day is August 31st, No state fishing license or permit required.
• The lake is fully open for boating and fishing; we have relocated all of our docks closer
to the lake exit.
• Bass, Catfish, Sunfish and Carp are being caught throughout the lake.
• Lake depth is approx. 50 ft.
• Boat rentals must be reserved by 12:00pm.
• The lower boat launch is open, four-wheel drive recommended. All vessels must pass a
Quagga mussel inspection prior to launch.

Best Spots
Catfish- Geezer Cove, Bass Cove
Trout- Horseshoe cove, Paradise Cove, Pumphouse Cove
Bass- Paraside Cove, Geezer Cove, North shoreline
Panfish/ Carp- Horseshoe Cove, Geezer Cove (Panfish) + Geezer Cove(Carp)

Best Lures/Baits
Catfish- Mackerel, Bonito, Nightcrawlers, chicken liver
Trout- Powerbait, nightcrawlers, mini jigs, kastmasters
Bass- Swimbaits, plastics, crank baits, jigs
Panfish/Carp- Mealworms & nightcrawlers (panfish) + dough balls, corn (Carp)

Catch Highlights
Catfish- Catfish caught mostly on mackerel and chicken liver around rock outcroppings across from docks.
Trout- Trout season has ended. Trout has been stocked for the season as of March 10th 2023.
Bass- Bass bite has picked up with warmer temperatures.
Panfish/Carp- Bluegill bite has picked up with warmer temperatures
